This text maintains a proper balance throughout between analytical and numerical work for introductory trigonometry courses at the college or high school level. It contains an abundance of excellent carefully-graded problems in the exercise sets. There are a variety of real-world applications used to motivate and reinforce understanding of trigonometric concepts and methods. The text integrates the use of hand-held scientific calculators as a tool for developing concepts and exploring relationships as well as a replacement for the tedious use of trigonometric tables and logarithms. Each chapter contains an optional feature on using BASIC which provides computer experiences designed to illustrate and extend concepts and relationships in that chapter.
