State Variable Methods in Automatic Control

This work is an attempt to provide an introduction to all the main state-variable methods without extraneous detail: it covers state-space theory, for example, without recourse to too much mathematics (making it suitable for engineering courses). It also deals with concepts related to analysis and with various methods of synthesis, providing several examples. Included are chapters on canonical forms and minimal realization, state feedback and decoupling control, and the Kalman filter.
