Need for Second Freedom Struggle in India

"Our country is facing sever political and social unrest. The situation is so alarming, that even the supreme court of India says, “Even god cannot help India.” It calls our society as a “sick society.” Recently, The Hindu published an article with the title “Democracy in Crisis” Anna Hazare has gone on hunger strike to contain corruption in this country. The union Finance Minister, Pranab Mukherjee said “they have destroyed the institution.” Indians have excess of democracy and they have lost value for the their freedom. They are involved in the process of destroying their won great democracy for their selfish ends. The book emphasizes that there is a need for second freedom struggle in India to free India from the present Social, Political and Economic unrest. This book is not written with an idea of criticizing anybody or anything. The idea behind it is to call our fellow citizens to address the issues that are crucial at this juncture to protect and build on our great democracy. This book attempts to provide an answer to the questions and issues raised. This book presents the present conditions that are prevailing in India, these conditions may not prevail tomorrow, however, it would serve as a worthwhile documentation on the contemporary crisis India is facing, so that it would be a lesson for future generations to avert such crisis, if recurs, in future. It is time, we should have introspection and realize the need to free India from the problems, restraints and oppression it is suffering from. India, the world leader, should regain its position and prove to be a model democracy on earth. "
