Developed before supersonic designs, the cockpits in this book depict the last generation of aircraft in which pilot could feel totally in control.Cockpit is the first book to take us inside so many of the most famous Allied and Axis fighters and bombers including rare shots of Japanese (Ki-46 Dinah,Kawasaki Ki-100,Kawanishi Shiden-Kai) and German (ME-163 and ME-262) aircraft interiors. An insightful and candid pilot's perspective accompanies the story of each plane."This is your chance to sit in the cockpit.Enjoy". See with your eyes what they saw That is very beautyfull and powerfull collection of large color photo... ..showing, to the reader, everything about the inside and the outside of warbird's WWII cockpit. Also that ,for each airplane, there is a detailed interwieuv with a veteran pilot. During this interwieuv he tells to the reader about the feeling and the sensation that he had when he got in the hands the plane. p-47; p-38 and me-109; fw-190; spitfire and so long....very amazing!!! An excellent book, for enthusiast or modeller This book has all the details and information that either a modeller, aviation historian or enthusiast could need, with full colour photos of very high quality. A "must" for any modellers bookshelf. Well illustrated guide to various masonry projects Like most of the Fine Homebuilding series, this isa well illustrated review of various projects the magazine has done over the years. My only objection is that for the most part it is in the Alternative Construction, Hippies in New Mexico style that they so favor. That aside, I have most of the books in this series and look at them often.
