
Encyclopedia Britannica (USA) has won the prestigious Global Learning Initiative Award 2005, at the 42nd Bologna Children's Book Fair, for “use of print materials in creative and innovative ways” in the Britannica Discover Library. The Britannica Discovery Library is a charming, lavishly illustrated, 12-volume set of "concepts and values" books specifically created for young students. Children are introduced to various texts and genres, including rhymes, narratives, puzzles, jokes, non-fiction, and fiction, presented with simple text and bold graphics.
